I am Sangeetha Ramakrishnan staying in North Carolina and is currently a home-maker. I am a engineer and have work experience working as as software engineer in several years back in India. After marriage, I wanted to take a break and spend quality time with my kids. Now I have 2 daughters of age 9 and 4. While being a stay at home mom and spending more time with kids, I keep a tab on different things happening around me. I wanted to start getting back to work after my kids were grown up. So wanted some time off for me in the evenings to start preparing for job interview. Since my husband’s work schedule is generally hectic, tried hiring a nanny to take care of kids and help with light dinner cooking in the evenings. So, next-door being one of the most used app for local services, posted my need there. I got 2 responses next day. One from a stay at home house wife and another from a college kid. Since the stay at home lady had more experience with both my needs, chose her. But somehow had this college kid in mind and wanted to help her as well, as she was looking for some ways to support her tuition fee. My sister in law, Monisha , a Software Engineer in Silicon Valley always wanted to start a YouTube channel for elementary kids for teaching logical math and coding. So connected this kid, Hoda to her. And later had nostalgic moments when her dad called me and thanked for giving her a job that matches her profile too.

When me and my SIL were talking about this , we came up with an idea if we can do something for such college kids. Here comes a BULB and we realized we don't even have such culture in Asian countries. We realized we were never this mature till we we stepped out of college. So wanted to change the taboo in India and all other Asian countries. Also, with Covid-19 being around, wanted to do something to make more internship opportunities for college kids across the globe. That's how, YouthInU was born. Thanks to the brainstorming session me and my sister-in-law had. I feel, there is no way today to connect college kids to employers around the world and give a platform to college kids to get opportunities across the globe. YouthInU would be the answer. Our mission is to connect kids to potential employers across globe and create a pathway to their passion. Later, we might extend this model to stay at home moms and retired teachers too. Coming Soon !! Please visit YouthInU.com after Jan 1, 2021. Looking forward to our first launch !! See u soon :)
